Consists of 253 pencil or pen sketches of architectural drawings and details pasted into a volume featuring plates from the American Architect and Building News published in 1877 and 1878. Sketches depict dwellings and details of roofs, chimneys, columns, newels, shingles, pilasters, ballasters, and molding. Most seem to be of existing structures. Also shown are drawings of furniture, including chairs, bookcases, sofas, and beds. Some of the illustrations are dated 1879 and others feature notations indicating the owner and place of a particular residence, primarily in Boston, Ma. or Newport, R.I. Others contain references to the Boston Art Club. Another shows a stable and its floor plans for a building in Milton, Ma.
